Yukibana Gakuin
Located in the town of Hakkamachi in beautiful northwestern Hokkaido, our school welcomes girls and femme nonbinary people from all walks of life! We are very proud of our beautiful campus filled with cherry trees, and our diverse student body. Please take your time and get to know Yukibana and the exciting programs we offer!
Our Mission
For thousands of years, humankind has shared this earth with beings of myth and legend. Though these supernatural cultures had dwelt for millennia prior to the advent of humanity, humans often reacted with horror and disgust when they encountered them, and thus a great divide between man and metaphysical was sundered.
Though some humans were unafraid, curious, even reverent about their more paranormal neighbors, most were belligerent and aggressive. The creatures of legend who had once ruled over the earth were now relegated to existing in shadow, shamed and even attacked into hiding.
Tensions still run high between humans and non-humans, even in these modern times. Founded by Dean Onikuma nearly 100 years ago, Yukibana Gakuin became a safe haven for girls and femme people of uncanny, spectral, and otherwise mystical descent, deemed too strange and frightening to live among common humans.
Student Body
Yukibana Gakuin Girls' Academy proudly accepts students of all races, colors, shapes, and sizes. We are the only school in the region where young human women and femme nonbinary people can study alongside their supernatural siblings, and otherworldly students can develop safe, healthy relationships with humans in the same bracket of development.
From catgirls to chimera, fallen angels to fairies and fauns, whether human or homunculus, every femme is welcome here at Yukibana.
Campus Life
Our campus has beautiful, tree-lined grounds that are pristinely maintained year-round. come see the blossoms in springtime!
We keep our class sizes small to make sure each and every student gets the most out of their education with us.
Along with the standard academic courses, Yukibana offers a broad selection of elective classes, trade apprenticeships, and extracurricular activities. We believe in not only enriching the minds of young people, but their creativity and leadership skills as well.
HanaKotoba
One of the ways our school has distinguished itself is through our club programs. Many of our alumni have gone on to utilize the leadership skills and team-building knowledge gained through our many programs in order to better their communities.
One such club program has already set itself apart in demonstration of excellence. After an incident in which one of their non-human classmates was harassed while shopping downtown, two of Yukibana's students decided to try and use music as a means of bringing people together.
Together these two students founded the school's Idol Club. Inspired by and subsequently named for the language of flowers, in which feelings are depicted by the meanings associated with various plants and their blooms, HanaKotoba has sought to connect and unite the student body with the people of Hakkamachi.
HanaKotoba's goal is to prove that just as music is all composed with variations on and rearrangements of the same seven notes, all people are made up of the same elements, no matter how different we may seem.
